The Namibia Statistics Agency was established in terms of Statistics Act No. 9 of 2011. The Agency is mandated, among others, to constitute the central statistical authority of the state and to collect, produce, analyse and
disseminate official statistics in Namibia.
Position : Junior Multimedia Specialist ( 6 months fixed-term contract)
Reporting to : Manager: Corporate Communications
Duty station : Windhoek, NSA Head Office

Job Purpose
To assist the Manager in the development of formal and ad hoc communications programmes, initiatives, and
activities to internal and external stakeholders in the context of the communications policies and strategies.

Key Performance Areas
• Layout & Graphic designs
• Administration and Support services
• Create online publicity content
• Assists in corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Monitors reports on and assures compliance with new digital media production materials
• Assist with corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Design, layout and creates census statistical animations
• Collaborates during relevant meetings and guides communication, process at divisional and sectional
level
Educational Qualifications and Job Experience Requirements
• A Bachelor Degree in Communications, Journalism or similar
• Experience in Adobe Suit, graphic design

• Ability to do graphic designs & layouts of documents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate freely and confidently in open forums
• Ability to deal with internal communications requirements
• Understanding of people and their motives
• Ability to influence others constructively
• A background graphic design
• Proficiency in Adobe packages
