DESCRIPTION
The Reservationist will be someone who has extensive experience with customer service and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and sophistication, be able to deliver services in an approachable and friendly manner, and will be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, internet searches, and maintaining a database.
Essential Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain complete knowledge and capabilities of the guesthouse-associated services.
- Work with the front-of-house team to maximize work efficiency.
- Knows the selling/pricing status, rates, and benefits of all packages/ plans.
- Review and prepare confirmations, insuring accuracy of all client information and communications.
- Process reservation cancellations and modifications in a timely manner.
- Understands the company’s policy on late cancellations and no-shows.
- Handles daily correspondence; responds to inquiries and makes reservations as needed.
- Makes sure that files are kept up to date.
- Maintains a clean and neat appearance and work area at all times.
- Promotes goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to managers, and fellow employees.
- Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management in any other areas of the office.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Must be willing to work weekends according to team schedule.
- Minimum of one year of previous experience in a similar role.
- Must have a Code B driving license.
