purpose
To provide PCH and project management support, coupled with innovative research, with the view to assist FNB Namibia in complying with National Payment System regulatory framework .
experience and qualifications
Grade 12 plus a formal B. Admin, B. Econ or B. Com degree as a minimum coupled with National Payment System (NPS) knowledge. At least 5 years experience in banking, payment systems, or equivalent. 2 of this should have been at supervisory level. Satisfactory exposure in payment systems is an added advantage.

responsibilities
Arrange internal meetings with Principal Representatives before Payment Clearing House Participant Groups (PCH PGs) meetings so that FNB issues continue to be presented at PAN forums.Alert Head Payments on changes to FNB Representatives at PAN PCH Forums so that PAN is advised accordingly Present certain issues at PCH PGs as advised by Head Payments/management.Provide feedback to management on key issues after each PCH PG meeting Review PCH PG documents and obtain FNB position on time.Collect information on each National Payment System Project so that motivation is done with the view to obtain approval from Executive Management Liaise with Information Technology so that each National Payment System Project is lodged on FNB Project Portal.Participate in project testing and bring issues to the attention of management Provide ongoing support to the Project Team for each National Payment System Project from Payments standpointGenerate research ideas and present these for approval.Carry out research in line with the research program of the Department.Contribute to the preparation of CEO Report on a monthly basis with the view to apprise top management on progress being made on National Payment System issues.Follow-up on issues arising from onsite inspections so that shortcomings are addressed as per onsite program of regulators.Follow-up with relevant Departments with respect to regulatory returns so that these are submitted to regulators on time Provide input to FNB position on official communiqués received from regulators Suggest changes to regulatory framework in order to contribute to modernization of the National Payment System Attend to compliance aspects as directed by Management.Maintain a good working relationship with the Group Compliance Function so that National Payment System compliance issues continue to be attended to at all times Promote strong professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders so that FNB’s reputation is safeguarded at all times
