PURPOSE:
Broll Namibia is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Accountant: Business Unit Analysis & Projects who excels at multitasking. This individual will perform a variety of accounting, administrative and other functions as required in supporting projects and the business overall. 1–2-year fixed term contract, with possibility of extension subject to review and dependent on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties: Projects
- Preparation of business cases, feasibilities and decision papers for all capital investments and administrative process improvements initiatives inclusive of financial metrics.
- Create and provide various financial reports related to internal and external projects to Management as and when required.
- Prepare, request and maintain regulatory requirements, waivers etc. for projects.
- Benchmarking, research and trend analysis.
- At project implementation: register and monitor projects on system; execute WIP month-end processes; fixed assets processing and reviews; variance analysis and reporting of costs and expenses.
Essential Duties: Business Unit Analyst
- Assist the Head: Finance in the preparation and review if all annual budgets and forecasts.
- Business performance analysis (current and new) and variance reporting.
- Compile monthly management reporting with accurate and valid commentary on company performance.
- Perform audits to drive process improvement of financial and administrative processes with the aim to ensure sustainable, world class processes
- Ensure compliance of all policies, procedures and systems with legislative, shareholder and statutory requirements.
Experience and Qualifications:
- B.Com Accounting Honours or CIMA qualification
- Completed Articles will be an advantage
- 5 years relevant experience
- Advanced computer skills: MS/ Excel / SAP
