Salary Scale : N$328,139 – N$392,158
Transport Allowance : N$7,680 per annum
Housing Allowance : N$13,080 per annum
Minimum requirements: An appropriate B. Degree or equivalent qualification on NQF Level 7
plus 3 years appropriate experience. Confirmation of probation is subject to the issuing of a
certificate of successful completion of the internal training course by the Executive Director:
Ministry of Finance on advice of the Deputy Director: Internal Auditing of the Ministry of
Finance.
Job Description:
Supervise the process of examining IT controls, evaluate the design and operational
effectiveness by determining exposure to risk and develop remediation strategies.
Plan. Implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the
organisation’s data, systems and network.
Test, identify network and system vulnerabilities and create counter active strategies to
protect the network.
Communicate complex technical issues in simplified terms to the relevant staff.
Identify and clearly define, audit issues and root causes, recommend improved internal
controls and business processes, and ensure that corrective actions plans are developed.
Compile a competency plan required for internal auditors to affectively carry out their
professional responsibilities, improvement programme for quality assessment based on
international standards.
Coaching and mentoring staffs and guiding them into a dynamic team to maximize the
productivity and responsibility, maintain audit staff capable of accomplishing the internal
audit mandate.
Represent the Deputy Director at management and audit committee meetings and
other external organisations, as well as in any local and international conferences
requiring his/her presence and update the organisation and direct reports on the
relevance and impact of his/her attendance to meetings/conferences
Supervise and coordinate activities that require special audits (IT audit, Performance
audit forensic audit and Special investigations within O/M/As) and report to the Deputy
Director.
Leading subordinates on a daily basis to ensure proper and timely performance of work,
in compliance with the Public Service Act 1995, (Act 13 of 1995), as well as the Public
Service Staff Rules/Regulation.
