CLERK OF WORKS SCM – MINING (CU) REF. N0. SCM/2002-003)

The Challenge

To provide onsite technical supervision and support by monitoring the day to day mining activities, ensuring quality and safety of work and accurate, timeous compliance to plan of various mining sites.

The Ideal Applicant

• Grade 12 , (20 points over 5 subjects with a E in English, Mathematics and Science)
• Valid Blasting Certificate or Diploma in Surveying or Mining
• Valid Code 08/B/BE driver’s license
• Five (5) years experience, with 3 years preferably in a supervisory capacity, combining planning, scheduling and site construction on major projects as a requirement.

Job Specific Competencies include:

• Willing to accept flexible working conditions (exposure to remote camps for extended periods)
• Working knowledge of mining processes, practices, regulations and standards
• Exposure to Survey and Exposure to Mine Planning
• Mathematics knowledge and analytical thinking skills
• Able to analyze quality or performance
• Project Management exposure
• Working knowledge of contract management
• Working knowledge of project management reporting techniques
• Preparing/compiling detailed analytical reports
• Proficiency in the use of software relevant to job functions
