LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR

JOB GRADE: C1

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (SUMMARY)

Responsible for all the daily Logistics of Rent-a-Drum, manage, supervise & administer the drivers & their assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Grade 12
• 5 years’ experience in logistics / fleet management OR tertiary education (Diploma or Degree) in Logistics
• Organised
• Excellent communication skills required
• Excellent planning skills required

KEY SKILLS

• Responsible for the daily planning & scheduling of all trip sheets (logistics) for the following day
• Responsible for the daily human resources activities of drivers and assistant’s
• Responsible for the daily performance & production targets of the drivers & assistants
• Responsible for operational activities through telephonic & written communication from clients & co-workers including Ad hoc services
• Recommend & advise operational logistical changes to improve systems (logistical mapping)
• Complete & absolute the security tracking system on an Ad hoc basis when needed
• Reporting, all monthly & weekly waste (if applicable) & recyclables (if applicable) reporting, including daily targets, fleet movements, feedback & statistical reporting
