COMPANY SUPPLIES CHAIN SPECIALIST- WINDHOEK

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the procurement of raw materials and other products NEO-Paints require.
Plan and manage the optimal stock holding for all products procured
Managing all aspects of supplier as well as inter departmental relationships.
Continuously conducting market research and scanning the market to stay up to date with industry related developments and implement changes.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Manage projects on various commodities from start to Implementation phase.
Continuously looking for new ways for the company to save money through effective procurement be more efficient, improve the quality of products.
Ensure that all product specific data sheets received from vendors have the relevant information for the product in question.
Collect, analyze and interpret all relevant data to ensure optimum procurement; best quality at best price at optimal stock levels.
Evaluate all shipping quotations to ensure that shipping is cost effective
Arrange all necessary paperwork when exporting / importing products.
Keep communication channels open between production units and the department regarding status of shipments.
Placing of orders for imported Products and arranging the necessary forward cover with the Finance Department.
Ensure optimal service delivery performance by suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma or degree In logistics or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Economics/Finance
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supplies chain role.
Be computer literate (Excel essential). Accounting experience will be advantageous.
Be highly numerate and meticulous attention to detail.
Be a self-starter, energetic, positive work ethic, honest and hardworking.
Good sense of urgency to meet deadlines and ability to deal with pressure
Exposure to the paint / chemical industry will be advantageous.
Good business verbal, written and telephone communication skills are required
An ability to negotiate cost effective rates/prices
Have excellent problem-solving and project-management skills
Namibian citizen.
