Transport Allowance : N$7,680.00 per annum
Housing Allowance : N$13,080.00 per annum
Appointment Requirements: A B-Degree at NQF Level 7 plus nine (9) years appropriate
experience in Travel, Hospitality and Tourism Management and Social Science. An
appropriate Knowledge and experience of community based, project management,
Culture and Heritage Management will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 To develops and promotes tourism in order to attract visitors and produce significant
economic benefits.
 Popularize the National Policy on Tourism for Namibia.
 Create an enabling environment for sustainable tourism development.
 Coordinate the implementation of ministerial policies, plans, and programmes at regional
level.
 Assist in the planning, and execution of tourism awareness and sensitization activities such
as Tourism days, events and exhibitions
 Identify skills gaps and facilitate tourism related training for the communities
 Facilitate the identification and development of Community Based Tourism projects in the
regions.
 Provide advisory services to communities/private sector operators
 Collect data and keep records of CBT projects in the regions
 Monitoring and evaluation of CBT projects.
 Any other duties allocated by the supervisor.
