We are looking to fill the following vacancy:

Refrigeration Motorman

Purpose of the role: To supervise maritime education, training and record keeping of statutory documentation for all vessel employees.

Minimum role requirements & experience

• STW95 F Class 6 Marine Engineer or equivalent qualification in refrigeration technology
• Refrigeration certificate on large industrial refrigeration plants
• Three (3) years sea-going experience
• Experience in the horse mackerel industry and/or on horse mackerel midwater trawlers (added advantage)
• Responsible for monitoring of refrigeration equipment and control room
• Assist with maintenance of refrigeration operation, condition and management of refrigeration plant, temperature control
• Act upon instruction from Refrigeration engineer
• Assist with quality control & supply of refrigeration equipment
• Assist with inputs on technical documentation of refrigeration systems on vessel
• Keep watch on vessel
