Introduction
Debmarine Namibia requires the services of a Bosun. The primary purpose of the job is to supervise and carry out various duties necessary for the efficient maintenance and operation of the Deck Department.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
•Supervising Seafarers on the Deck.
•Responsible for on-the-job traning for Seafarers on the Deck.
•Allocating and supervision of deck operations maintenance tasks.
•Compiles and provide deck activity progress reports to the CNO.
•Issues deck stores requirements to the CNO.
•Records daily sounding of vessel tanks and spaces as directed by CNO.
•Reports deficiencies and non-conformances of the SMS system to the CNO.
•Mooring and berthing operations.
•Securing vessel fo heavy weather.
•Deck house keeping.
•Loading and discharging from the launch.
•Rigging and moving of heavy equipment.
•Flight deck activities when helicopter operations are in progress.
•Launching or recovering boats.
•Hull and Deck maintenance

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Grade 10
•Valid Able Seafarer–Deck Certificate of Competency
•8 Years as a qualified Able Seafarer-Deck
