CYMOT (Pty) Ltd, the leading retailer in motor spares, camping, tools and machinery, personal protective equipment and automotive paint, invites a suitably qualified person to join CYMOT’s dynamic team at our Head Office in Windhoek.
TRAINING OFFICER
Responsibilities
- Coordinate talent management activities and prepare site training plans & budgets.
- Coordinate processes to develop employees in current roles and develop a talent pipeline.
- Schedule training in line with the Training Needs Analysis, the annual training plan and within budget parameters
- Provide guidance to employees regarding training programmes for their development.
- Aid in identification of skills gaps within the organisation and develop and implement training to address these.
- Coordinate induction programs for new employees.
- Prepare training agreements with employees who receive financial support for their studies or who attend other courses / skill improvement interventions.
- Initiate VET levy claims each year for the training that was conducted or sourced and follow – up on payment of claims that were submitted.
- Implement, maintain and coordinate a company-wide performance management system that supports the business vision and key performance areas.
- Provide training and development coordination services (select training courses, select service providers, arrange venue bookings, accommodation and transport).
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
Education and Experience
- Grade 12
- A relevant Diploma related to Human Resources Management/Development/Training and Development
- IT proficiency / computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- At least five (5) years’ training and development experience in a medium sized organization.
- Knowledge in Adult Learning theory and HRD best practice.
- Valid Driver’s Licence
