Lady Pohomba Private Hospital Is on the verge of opening the biggest, state-of-the-art private hospital In Namibia.

PHARMACY MANAGER

We are pursuing a PHARMACY MANAGER whose first concern is providing efficient and professional pharmaceutical service to the hospital. The incumbent should possess well developed interpersonal, communication and time-management skills and have a good knowledge of clinical pharmacy and pharmacology; a strong patient focus as well as a desire to deliver the highest standard of pharmaceutical care; thereby contributing to health improvement as well as to assist patients with health problems to make the best use of their medicines. Proficiency and experience in managing staff and medicines is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for:

• Quality Pharmaceutical Care, service excellence and continuous quality improvement.
• Comprehensive Pharmaceutical stock control and audits.
• Lead and manage the people in the Pharmacy.
• Risk and Asset Management; Accountable for Antibiotic Stewardship program.
• Manage and control overall Pharmacy budgets.
• Ensure adherence to Hospital/Pharmacy policies, procedures, and standards.
• Effective communication with representatives, suppliers, healthcare professionals and Hospital Management on pharmacy activities.
• Review pharmaceutical care to ensure it meets legal, ethical, updated clinical and safety standards.
• Apply sound knowledge of legislative requirements, hospital software and NAMAF tariffs applicable to in-hospital pharmacy environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A B Pharm degree. Registered with the HPCNA. Maximum 10 years’ experience as a Senior Pharmacist I Pharmacy Manager preferably in a hospital specific environment. Proven knowledge and experience in a managerial position, procurement, clinical and operational management.
