PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To manage the broker sites effectively and productively.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• General management of broiler production unite.
• & implement SOPs & bo security plan.
• Ran, implement & execute ventilation, lighbng & heating of the chicken houses.
• Plan A implement feoo prog-ams.
• Plan & execute scheddod & general chicken house & site maintenance.
• Procure feed & forming consumables.
• Compile budget & manage expenses.
• Plan & balance bro.ler prodiictcn against breed standards.
• Manage chicken house preparation, cear ng, animal welfare & vaccination.
• Perform general HR functions sucn as recruitment, appointment, discipline, training & performance management.
• Do stock counts & compile reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETANCIES

• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with the minimum requirements.
• S»x (6) yean, experience in managing bro-lers farms
• Sx (6) years’ expe’ience <n enwonmertaTy controlled broiler houses and relevant experience within the Industry.
• Tertiary qualification m agriculture will be ar added advantage.
• Namibian citizen or eligible for permanent residence.
• Proficient in English, being bilingual will be advantageous.
• Valid Code B dnver*s I.cense with own reliable transport.
• Computer Literate.
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime and on pub’ic holidays.
