OKACOM FIELD OFFICER KAVANGO EAST, KAVANGO WEST

The NNF has partnered with ‘the Permanent Okavango River Basin Commission” (OKACOM) to implement a project with an integrated approach to Natural Resource Management in the Middle Cubango-Okavango Basin to mitigate land degradation. The NNF is seeking a Field Officer to assist in the implementation of this project.

Desired Qualifications and experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in Agriculture. Land Management. Natural Resource Management. Forestry or Geography.
• 3 years’ work experience in working with local communities.
• Demonstrable organisational / administration skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and being able to work in a team.
• Good computer skills, particularly MS Office.
• Code 8 driver licence.
• Experience in working in agriculture.
• Experience in facilitating and delivering workshops and demonstrations.
• Knowledge of the national CBNRM programme and Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

Knowledge of Afrikaans and/or a Namibian indigenous language.
