Reconnaissance Energy Namibia(REN). a subsidiary of ReconAfrica – a Canadian oil and gas company, specialises in oil&gas and currently exploring for conventional oil and gas in the Kavango East and West Regions of Namibia •

REN is expanding and has an opportunity for an experienced enthusiastic Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Manager to join our dynamic and fast growing team on a fulltime contract basis. This position is well suited to an individual with a minimum of 15 years experience in this domain, looking to add value to our company as well as advance their career in ESG, working as part of an integrated management team. This individual will work with key involved ministries and provide occasional oversight to 3^M party contractors.

Key responsibilities and duties

Environmental, Social and Governance(ESG)

• Review the Environmental, Social and Governance strategy and report
• Assist with implementation and updates of ReconAfrica ESG progress timeline reports
• Help to implement Terms of reference developed for in-country funding mechanisms for ESG projects
• Complete assessments on ESG aspects as listed below
• Help to develop reporting requirements for areas listed below

Emphasis on working with environmental issues in Namibia from a company and ministerial perspective Providing coordination across ReconAfrica projects from the ESG perspective

• Ensure all government authorities at the national, regional and local levels are aware and involved in the development and implementation phases of the ESG projects and reporting requirements

Knowledge base
