Namibia is one of the beneficiary countries of the project “Strengthening Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Systems for Sustainable Development in Africa”, funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) for two years.

UNESCO looks for a dynamic and experienced Project Assistant who has a minimum of five (5) years relevant professional experience in project/programme administrative and/or secretarial tasks.

The Project Assistant will provide a wide range of administrative and management support to the effective implementation of the project. S/He is required to work as a Team member with the Programme Officers in Sciences and other staff of the Office, including those involved in the implementation and coordination of the project at UNESCO Headquarters for guidance and inputs as required.

The duties associated with this position will be carried out within a framework of a Temporary engagement under a Service Contract at Level 3. Extension of contract is subject to availability of project funds and satisfactory performance.
