REFRIDGERATION TECHNICIAN

And have the following skills:

► A qualified Cooling Technician on Ammonia & Freon R22 / R134A systems with 5 years’ proven experience in a manufacturing and food processing environment

’ Excellent knowledge of: Health & Safety legislations & processes, HACCP, Hygiene & GMP’s

Must have good knowledge of screw & piston compressors

Must have good theoretical and practical knowledge of refrigeration systems and safety equipment for Ammonia & Freon systems

Able to set and adjust electronic controllers

Familiar with cold room paneling work

Able to maintain cold & freezer rooms (structures, doors etc.)

Must have good knowledge of ice making procedures, maintenance & repairs on ice making equipment

Must have good knowledge of breathing apparatus usage and care

Must have good background of electrical fault-finding

Able to use own initiative & take quick decisions independently

Must have excellent planning & organizational skills

Must have excellent time management skills

Must be detailed and accurate

Able to work under pressure & be able to adapt to change

Excellent communication skills (English)

Have a valid driver’s license

Namibian Citizen

And wish to execute the following responsibilities:

Obtain the maximum efficiency of the cooling system and ice plant

Plan effective maintenance and repair of cooling systems, equipment and ice plant

Installation of cooling systems

General fault-finding

Modification of existing cooling system

Assist with electrical repairs and fault-finding

Good housekeeping
