I-TECH Namibia promotes activities that increase human capacity for providing HIV/AIDS clinical care and support through the development of health care worker training systems. I-TECH invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the following positions.

Cervical Cancer Prevention (CECAP) Outreach Enrolled Nurse
Duty Station: Rundu (xl)

Primary, Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive cervical cancer screening services for HIV-positive women at selected sites,

including outreach and at ART differentiated service delivery points.

• Implement daily cervical cancer screening and treatment, referral and follow up activities according

to the National cervical cancer prevention Guidelines

• Provide health education to clients on cervical cancer prevention

Required Education. Training & Experience:

• Diploma in Nursing and current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the HPCNA
• NIMART-trained

At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience including providing cervical cancer screening services

Previous VIA & cryotherapy training would be an added advantage

Sexual Reproductive Health Nurse Mentor: Nankudu and Andara (xl)

Primary Responsibilities

• Support sites in implementing cervical cancer prevention, and reproductive health activities.
• Assist sites in developing strategies to close gaps along the cervical cancer screening & treatment continuum.
• Directly manage and supervise (l-TECH) HIV CECAP nurses as applicable.
• Provide limited direct HIV patient cervical cancer prevention care and other SRH services.
• Organize, coordinate and conduct cervical cancer screening outreach/campaigns within the region.
• Conduct VIA and sexual and reproductive health training and provide ongoing mentoring support.
• Support quality improvement initiatives at supported sites.
• Ensure tracing, linkage and referral of HIV-positive women for cervical cancer screening and treatment services.
• Identify cervical cancer and reproductive health and other HIV related training needs at health facilities.

Required Education, Training & Experience:

• Degree in Nursing and registration as a Registered Nurse with the HPCNA.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience including provision of cervical cancer screening and family planning services.
• Trained in Visualization and inspection of the cervix with acetic acid (VIA).
• Two years of previous training and project management experience.
• Previous experience in training nurses in NIMART.
• Previous experience as a supervisor would be an advantage.
• Previous experience in providing long acting reversible contraceptives would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
