ACCOUNTANT

(Paterson C3)

Primary Function: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to assist in the management of the Finance Department of the Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for the administration of the Agency’s payroll, maintenance of cash books, maintenance of debtors, creditors, and asset control. Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and report variances to the Finance Manager.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate shall be in possession of a Diploma in Accounting from an Accredited institution combined with four (4) years practical financial work experience, or a Bookkeeping Certificate from an Accredited Institution combined with more than six (6) years practical financial work experience. The incumbent must have extensive knowledge in PASTEL computerized accounting system and VIP computerized payroll system. He/she must have good interpersonal communication skills and be in possession of a valid driver’s license. Knowledge in Excel will be an added advantage.

Salary Package: The FOA offers a salary package that is commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. In addition, the FOA offers Housing and Transport Allowance, Medical Aid and Pension Fund.
