POSITION: MOBILITY AND ORIENTATION COORDINATOR

Primary responsibilities of the Job:

To lobby and advocate for the rights of persons with visual impairments by coordinating the training of persons with visual impairments in Mobility and Orientation. Training and guidance of persons with visual Impairments and their families in the community.

Requirements

• Diploma in Lifelong Learning, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation, Social Work or related fields.
• Interest in and ability to work with and train persons with visual impairments (Blind and low vision) and their families.
• Preference will be given to applicants who speak more than two vernacular languages, apart from English.
• Mobility and Orientation Diploma/National certificate will be an advantage.
• 3 or more years of experience.
• Preference given to applicants 30 years and above.
