Programme Officer – Young Africa Namibia

Young Africa (YA) Namibia, a young and growing Namibian (NGO), aims to empower young people through practical training in market-oriented trades in combination with life skills and entrepreneurship. We do so in close cooperation with local entreprenuers who franchise our training departments from which they run their business while training students on the job. Our head office and main center is based in Otjiwarongo where we offer skills training in various trades in combination with life skills and entrepreneurship training.

To strengthen our team at our head office in Otjiwarongo and our satellite in Ondangwa we are currently looking for friendly, honest, hardworking and responsible candidates who are dedicated to  the integral development of under priviledged young people. We offer the following positions.

PROGRAMME OFFICER (OTJIWARONGO)

– Supervise oil program activities, with special attention to quality of training

• Supervise staff and franchisees of YA Namibia

. Implement quality assurance manual of YA Namibia

• Write reports and keep up to date records of beneficiaries as per the YA M&E framework.
• Contribute to the expansion plans of Young Africa Namibia and supervise when implemented
• Support in fundraising, report writing and PR activities.

. See to security of premises, health and safety issues as required by law.

. Take charge of the maintenance and material management.

. Organise festivals and events and take charge of logistics.
