Agriculture Economist – NAMIBRE
Roles
- Contributing to the delivery of projects and contracts – information gathering, analysis of data, plus writing reports
- Researching and writing for the Agricultural Budgeting and Costing book and John Nix Pocketbook
- Producing articles for bulletins and regular reports, including gathering information for our ‘Key Farm Facts’ datasheet
- Creating publicity material such as leaflets and Andersons Outlook
- Helping prepare and deliver presentations
- Taking day-to-day responsibility for the ‘NVZ Manager’ bureau service
- Assisting our team of businesses consultants with aspects of their on-farm work
- Depending on skills and aptitude, helping improve the digital output of the team
- In time, developing business contacts, helping to win work, and growing your own client base and business portfolio
Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics or equivalent qualification in related field with a minimum of 5 years’ executive experience in the industry.
General Requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an Executive and possess sound knowledge and expertise or similar field of expertise in Law, Finance, Engineering, Agriculture Economist, Insurance/ Reinsurance and Medical Profession (Physician) to be able to contribute to the strategic direction of the Corporation. Insurance Industry knowledge will be an added advantage.
