Programme Officer(Windhoek)

The mam purpose of this full-time post based in Windhoek is to provide support to the implementation of the programmes and projects in close collaboration with the Programme Manager.

Duties will include:

Implementation support In close collaboration with the Programme Manager, assume the general support to implementation of the programme (liaising with regional programme officers and Implementing Partners (IPs)).
Training support: Provide general support with regards to trainings and capacity building support functions
Coordination support Provide support to regional programme officers with regard to coordination of programmes implementation.
Reporting support Provide support with regard to reporting (updating database and filing of reports)
Monitoring support: Provide support with regards to monitoring (data verification and validation processes with IPs)
Communication support Provide communication support to the regional programme officers and IPs.

Requirements

At least a grade 12 plus further tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution
At least 3 years relevant experience in programmes at community level in NGOs set up
Comprehensive knowledge, experienced and conversant in programming relating to and working with, LGBT communities and Sex Workers in Namibia
Comprehensive knowledge, experienced and conversant with HIV/AIDS programming with key populations
Comprehensive knowledge, experienced and conversant in sexual and reproductive health and rights related programmes
Comprehensive understanding of M&E and working with data
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of donor’s world
Computer literate especially Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and the Internet) and statistical software systems
Fluent in English and the appropriate local languages
Driving License
