EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

For the rehabilitation of TR1/3 between Keetmanshoop and Mariental (Section A: Between Tses intersection and Gochas intersection. This is a time bound project, employment will be fixed term.

Assistant Site Agent/Manager

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Site Manager, the incumbent will assist in managing building contracts on-site, liaising with the Contracts Manager, client, sub­contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Manage and liaise with all Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) on the project.
• Contribute to all aspects of the works so that the building project is completed in line with the requirements, within budget and on time.
• Assist in advising and implementing cost savings methods at all times, and represent the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by, the construction project.

Requirements:

• Substantial experience of the full circle of at least 2 road construction projects, at least 5 years, involving supervision of the projects and staff;
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
• Ability to closely collaborate with other construction project stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills.
