EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

For the rehabilitation of TR1/3 between Keetmanshoop and Mariental (Section A: Between Tses intersection and Gochas intersection. This is a time bound project, employment will be fixed term.

Assistant Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the maintenance of health and safety systems and operational requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of health and safety culture at the workplace.
• Contribute to the reporting, investigation and follow up of incidents.
• Assist in the implementation of the COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan.

Requirements

• Must have an Occupational Health and Safety Certification or at least 2-3 years operational experience in the construction industries (preferably in Road Construction projects;
• Ability to create climate of cooperation, cohesiveness and instils team spirit;
• Ability to conduct risk assessment, inspections, accident investigations and facilitating training.
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite;
• Must be able to work independently, but also in team situations.
