Introduction
Job Purpose: The emphasis of this position will be on the acquisition of new customers for the Bank, the provision of superior service levels and development of new opportunities within an existing portfolio of clients through the marketing of the Bank’s products and services in a competitive Wealth Management Banking environment.
Specification
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow a Wealth Segment in the Bank’s client portfolio.
- Market the Bank’s Wealth products and services to existing as well as prospective clients.
- Meet agreed upon sales targets.
- Provide superior client services and enhance the bank’s relationship banking concept.
- Achieve quality and turnaround standards through relevant systems, processes and procedures.
- Understand and respond to client’s business, personal and household needs.
- Understand and apply the bank’s risk and credit policy and manage client expectations accordingly.
- Improve team efficiency and effectiveness continuously.
- Respond within agreed timelines to tasks and responsibilities deployed onto the relevant systems.
- Build sound client relationships and instill trust amongst clients that Nedbank Private Wealth is best placed to manage the complexity of their business, personal and household requirements.
- Build and maintain effective professional relationships with high value profile clients through contact management.
- Engage clients and in a manner that is relevant to their specific circumstances.
- Unearth sales / solution opportunities and to create advocates among their clients.
- Continuous quality client engagements.
- Manage escalated client complaint to ensure agile resolution.
- Ensure and apply compliance with Risk standards by completing specified compliance training and ensuring that teams complete theirs.
- Ensure adherence to relevant systems, processes, standards, protocols, procedures and take corrective action where necessary.
- Improve client service delivery when providing tailor made financial solutions and client service.
- Manage performance of staff through regular engagements.
Abilities Requirements:
- Good understanding of all banking products and systems.
- Broad industry and market knowledge, as well as having a sound understanding of local and global economic fundamentals.
- Extensive and sound experience in all aspect of Private and Wealth Banking, with particular emphasis on relationship management.
- A sound financial and credit analysis background.
- Superior interpersonal, negotiation and marketing skills.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Analyse and interpreti quantitative and qualitative data.
- Influence stakeholders to obtain buy-in for concepts and ideas
- Brainstorm ways of improving a product or situation
- Provide professional advice/opinion
- Challenge the status quo with a view to improving the environment or people’s understanding
- Write business proposals
- Implementation plan to deliver on strategy
- Communicate complex information in writing and verbally
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Business / Finance/ Marketing, relevant Advance Diploma, and Grade 12
- Minimum of 7 (seven) years’ experience in banking and/or financial services industry as well as Managerial level.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
