Introduction APS is looking to recruit a training officer trainee for one of our clients in the mining and engineering industry.

Specification

Effective supervision of the site Assessors / Instructors;

Effective planning and organizing of training deliverables as defined by the training service level agreement for the project;

Effective and efficient coordination of training initiatives, employee movements, and resources;

Maintain a site-specific training matrix that accurately reflects the status of training as per the SLA;

Order / arrange training materials timeously and ensure stock levels are adequate;

Proactive risk identification and mitigation within the area of responsibility;

Maintain and monitor effective record keeping of all training documentation, including learner portfolio of evidence;

Adhere to legislation and company policies, standards, and procedures;

Wear correct PPE at all times;

Effective self and team management and alignment with company values and leadership initiatives;

Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent

Certificate in Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices Level 4 (preferred)

Trade / Underground Blasting Certificate or equivalent recognized certificate / qualification

MS Office Proficient [Word and Excel]

Good English communication skills [Written and verbal]

At least 3 to 5 years of experience working in an underground mining/engineering environment

At least 2 to 3 years of training related experience (preferred)
