ACCOUNTANT

KEY PURPOSE

To provide financial support to the management team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL

• Financial Accounting up to trial balance
• Month End reporting, analysis and submissions
• Management and administration of Payroll system (VIP/Pastel)
• Management of Capital Expenditure And fixed asset register
• Insurance administration and applying of insurance policy
• Year-end preparation for year-end audit
• Preparation and administration of Local and Import Vat applications
• Receiver of Revenue submissions (Vat,Import Vat, Income Tax, PAYE) and queries resolved
• Assisting and assuring internal controls are always relevant and applied (internal audits)
• Responsible for Balance Sheet Recons
• Assisting with annual budget preparation and applying budget to expense control
• Assisting with IT function
• Assistance to admin controller

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Appropriate Business Diploma or Business Degree eg. B com
• An understanding of financial systems, reporting, database administration and budgeting
• 2 Years Financial Accounting experience within a commercial environment
• Ability to assume multi disciplinary role i.e. Information Systems, Finance, Budgeting and Management Accounting functions
