Mashare Irrigation has approximately 465 ha under irrigation in Kavango East, producing mainly maize, wheat, potatoes, onions and blueberries. Due to continued growth and expansion the following vacancies are available:

Production Manager: Blueberries

Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for 20 to 40 ha of blueberries, establishment, plant health, pruning, weed and pest identification and control, irrigation and harvest management. Staff training, guidance and supervision

Education: B. Sc or B. Tech Agri degree or other horticulture related field including plant physiology, viticulture Experience: At least 5 years hands on production of Blueberries or Table Grapes. Knowledge of GlobalGAP certification essential. Avocados and citrus would be a plus.

Production Manager: Grains

Responsibilities: Profitable production of maize and wheat under irrigation and dryland, with an emphasis on achieving above average yields

Education: B. Sc or B. Tech Agri degree, crop or soil science

Experience: At least 5 years proven experience of achieving above average yields, utilization of satellite, drone and precision farming technology
