JOB ROLE

To perform water treatment duties at Water Treatment Plants and Large Water Schemes effectively and efficiently to ensure a constant supply of sufficient and safe water to customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications
• Grade 10
• National Vocational Trade Certificate in Water Care

Experience

• 3 years’ experience In Water Care

Legal Requirement:

• Driver’s License Code B

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• OHS Knowledge
• Supervisory skills
• Technical aptitude

Key Performance Areas

• Conduct meter readings, compilation and capturing
• Supervise subordinates
• Ensure safe working environment
• Improve efficiency and effectiveness of water supply
• Apply water treatment practices to standard (sampling, results analysis & interpretation, and decision making)
• First line maintenance/Repair of pipe breaks
• Compile operations and maintenance reports
• Perform administrative duties
• Perform relief duty of scheme superintendent
