Draftsman (Senior Chief Correctional Officer) Grade 8 679 views

Minimum requirements:

National Diploma in Architect/Drafting, minimum 3 years’ experience designing or related work experience and valid driver’s license.

Competencies and attributes:

Supervision, technical report writing, interpreting technical drawings, time management, occupational health and safety knowledge, Vocational training and education systems, planning and organizing, delegation, project management, team leadership, computer skills, research and development problem solving and analysis, decision making, demonstrated planning, design, construction administration expertise which includes budget, analysis, and administrative processes.

Responsibilities:

• Create a work plan for the activities needed to successfully complete the project
• Assist in developing specification for construction, repair and modification projects as assigned.
• Conceptual architectural design and draughting.
• Review contractor submittals, and to effectively work toward resolving field problems during construction.
• Project planning, implementation and execution.
• Monitor and maintain expenditure within budget.
• Evaluation and progress monitoring
• Write report to the NCS management
