MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Manned security Regional Manager, the main purpose of this position will be but not limited to lead and drive manned guarding operational activities in accordance with the required G4S minimum standards and clients requirements as well as to develop an effective and influential relationships with G4S clients.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage the security operations efficiently in order to deliver the required service levels.
Maintain, develop and improve service standards in line with the key performance indicators.
Liaise with G4S clients and customer and deliver on promises
Seek new client and offered G4S service delivery by introducing G4S integrated products.
Ensure that all sites have current assignment instructions and all relevant and appropriate documentation.
Manage ad-hoc requests to ensure provision.
Staff Management and Supervision
Source, conduct screening and vetting of new employees according to internal recruitment policy and procures.
Conduct ad hoc performance assessments of subordinates.
Ensure that manpower is maintained and utilized at optimum levels and those working hours, overtime and leave absences are managed to minimize unnecessary overtime.
Ensure acceptable standards of work behaviour are maintained by all subordinates according to Company code of conduct, Values and Disciplinary Code.
Conduct and ensure that all disciplinary actions are conducted in compliance with Company disciplinary policies and procedures.
Ensure that all grievances are attended to and resolve within reasonable time and in compliance with Company grievance policies and procedures.
Manage security officers in terms absences, posting, site induction etc.
Conduct security officers training, onsite induction and client specific training.
Health and Safety
Arrange safety forums and meeting to discuss safety talks and follow up on assigned safety activities.
Investigate and report all safety incidents to the Health & Safety Manager and senior management.
Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers with regard to working and environmental conditions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 and or a relevant tertiary security related qualification being an added advantage.
3 to 5 years security management experience.
3 to 5 years proven multi-disciplinary experience in operational, contract and commercial management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strong leadership and people management skills; able to challenge, coach, motivate and train staff to produce positive results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at individual, team and management level.
Able to build, develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal support services.
A self-starter with excellent problem solving skills and a focus upon continuous improvement.
Ability to prioritise and manage tasks and directives which may conflict each other.
Able to produce informative and concise reports.
Language proficiency in both English and Afrikaans with a third language been an advantage.

A Police Code of Conduct Certificate with no endorsements obtained during the last 12 months is required or a receipt confirming application thereof must be submitted.
