Reporting to the Product support Manager (Namibia South) the successful incumbent will be responsible to assist manage and co-ordinate safe repair and maintenance of CAT equipment by leading an on-site team and to effectively report on performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage safe site operations, enforcing Barloworld Equipment and site-specific safety standards
- Provide guidance and support to reporting supervisors on daily site activities and escalations
- Monitor, record and report equipment and site performance regularly; analyse trends and recommend improvements
- Track and report financial performance regularly, drive cost control and budget adherence
- Attend and facilitate monthly site-performance reviews and quarterly client meetings
- Coordinate and manage work-in-progress to ensure timely completion and resource allocation
- Ensure overall site performance meets agreed KPIs and service-level targets
- Implement and oversee cost-effective maintenance practices and preventive programs
- Maintain high standards of quality, ensuring compliance with procedures and client expectations
Requirements
- Gr.12, passed
- Qualified artisan with at least 5 years post apprenticeship MARC experience and/or at least 5 years supervisory experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in track-type equipment repair and maintenance
- Well-driven, organized, and self-motivated individual
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Familiarity with CAT condition monitoring and wear-management platforms
- Sound knowledge of MARC site processes and strategies
- Must be in possession of a Code of Conduct not older than 6 Months
- Must have a Valid Driver’s Licence – manual transmission
- Willingness to relocate to Oranjemund; accommodation in Oranjemund is an advantage
- Required to be based on MA1 site
- Technical expertise: deep knowledge of track-type equipment repair, MARC systems, CAT condition monitoring, wear-management platforms, and preventive maintenance
- Mechanical diagnostics & troubleshooting: systematic fault-finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective action
- Safety & compliance: enforce Barloworld safety standards, risk assessment, permit-to-work, and regulatory compliance
- Leadership & people management: supervise, coach, motivate supervisors and technicians, manage performance and conflict
- Planning & organisation: work-in-progress coordination, scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting KPI targets
- Financial & cost control: budget awareness, cost-effective maintenance practices, tracking and reporting financial performance
- Quality assurance: adherence to procedures, inspections, and continuous improvement
- Communication & stakeholder management: clear reporting, client liaison, facilitating meetings, and presenting performance data
- IT & data literacy: proficient with Microsoft Excel/Word, CMMS, condition-monitoring tools, and data analysis
- Mobility & adaptability: willingness to relocate and able to work in remote sites and variable conditions
