**Purpose of the Job**
To perform inspections and preventative maintenance, overhaul, repair and maintain all Heavy Mining Equipment Machinery and LDVs, applying practice detailed technical knowledge of components of the trade, according to set standards, procedures and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and repairs planned and unplanned maintenance service
- Maintains a Preventative Maintenance schedule for all mechanical equipment.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems, using appropriate tools.
- Performs stand by duties and overtimes as required.
- Tests repaired equipment and ensured that work meets manufacture’s specifications.
- Report all SHE related incidents and near-misses within the prescribed time periods.
- Supports and creates sound working relationships with co-workers / team members to resolve problems.
- Adheres to and maintains work area clean and tidy, in accordance with good housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 24 points in 6 subjects.
- Trade Certificate N3/L3
- Valid code B or bigger driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in the field of mechanics on heavy earth-moving equipment and light vehicles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Planning and Organizing skills.
- Comply with company safety standards.
