Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term exploration strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Identify, prioritise, and evaluate exploration targets using geological, geochemical, geophysical, and remote-sensing data.
- Oversee greenfield, brownfield, and near-mine exploration programmes.
- Support feasibility studies, mine planning, and life-of-mine optimisation.
- Ensure exploration programmes are technically sound, cost-effective, and risk-managed.
- Provide technical input for joint ventures, partnerships, and investor engagements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, reporting standards, and organisational policies.
- Monitor expenditure, schedules, and performance against approved plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences.
- Twenty to twenty-five (20-25) years’ progressive experience in geology and exploration, including leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Surpac, MapInfo, and Leapfrog software.
- Proven track record in the discovery, delineation, and development of mineral resources
- Senior leadership experience in exploration management roles.
- Prior expatriate or international experience in emerging or frontier jurisdictions will be an advantage.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Preference will be given to suitably qualified Namibian citizens.
- Availability to start at short notice will be an advantage.
