Key Responsibilities

• Fuel Distribution: Refuel machines like excavators, generators, pump and lighting plants directly at their work locations
• Safety & Inspections: Conduct pre-start safety checks on the bowser, perform continuous risk assessments throughout the shift, and ensure all health and safety protocols are met.
• Inventory & Logging: Monitor fuel levels in the bowser, record the amount of diesel dispensed to each machine accurate movement logs for the vehicle.
• Housekeeping: Clean the vehicle cabin and equipment regularly to maintain a safe a professional working environment.

Requirements

• Grade 10 or 12 National Certificate
• Code C driver’s license or bigger is compulsory
• Hazchem Certificate for transporting dangerous goods
• At least 3 years’ experience as a diesel, water or any C License type truck in opencast mining or construction.
• Good communication skills
• Pre-start checks
• General open pit mining knowledge
• Safe driving and accurate record keeping
