Every year, as part of the One Economy Foundation’s annual Media Summit, the Media Awards recognise outstanding journalism and exceptional media contributions on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBV-F), Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and Mental Health. The Media Awards are open to all journalists and celebrate the media’s power as a catalyst for change, highlighting the importance of accurate and impactful reporting. The Media Summit, which takes place on 08 May 2026, is open to senior journalists and editors only.
Key Responsibilities
- Print Media – any relevant content published in print publications
- Digital Media – any relevant written or audiovisual content published in online-only publications
- Television – any relevant audiovisual content that was broadcast on television networks
- Radio – any relevant audio content that aired on radio
- Best Upcoming Journalist – a journalist who produced the best reports and has up to 1 year of experience
Requirements
- Works must have been published in 2025.
- Best Upcoming Journalist category requires up to 1 year of experience.
