Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biokinetic assessments to evaluate functional capacity, movement patterns, and physical limitations
• Design and implement individualised exercise rehabilitation programmes for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic disease.
• Provide rehabilitation for patients with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and post-operative conditions.
• Develop exercise-based therapy programmes to restore function, mobility, strength, and endurance
• Monitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation programmes accordingly
• Educate patients on injury prevention, posture correction, and long-term physical health.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, orthopaedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Movement Science / Biokinetics from a recognised institution
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as a Biokineticist
• 5-8 years’ relevant clinical experience, preferably in orthopaedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation
• Strong knowledge of exercise prescription, rehabilitation protocols, and functional movement analysis
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience with post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation programmes
• Exposure to sports conditioning and athletic rehabilitation
• Experience in chronic disease management programmes (e.g., diabetes, cardiac rehabilitation)
• Experience working in a private rehabilitation practice or sports performance environment
