Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of license applications to Ministry of Fisheries.
• Assisting with the preparation, reconciliation, and submission of Quota related returns to the MOFMR.
• Assisting with VAT audits to ensure outstanding VAT is collected timeously.
• Liaison with NAMRA during audits & preparing selections that were made during the audit.
• Assisting with the submission of ITAS returns for Indirect Taxes and Direct Tax (Direct tax will only be administrative in nature).
• Secretarial support to the group of companies as and when required.
• Preparation of contracts as and when required.
• Assist with the record keeping and filing of all compliance documentation.
• Any ad hoc compliance related work as required by their manager.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in secretarial duties, liaison with NamRA, and compliance matters related to the fishing industry.
• ITAS experience required.
• Relevant qualifications are preferred.
• Fishing Industry specific experience would be to your advantage.
• Good communication skills – written and oral (English).
• Must be computer literate (Microsoft Excel & Word).
• Must be pro-active and self-motivated, have excellent planning and organization skills.
• Namibian citizen.
