Key Responsibilities

• Sorting, picking, verifying, and packing of consignments
• Scanning of consignments
• Labelling of parcels with barcode stickers
• Efficient and effective loading/offloading of vehicles, reporting damages/anomalies to supervisor immediately.
• Housekeeping – keeping working area clean and neat
• Comparing waybills, client documentation to freight/consignment loaded and/or delivered
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Adhering to security measures including inspections and quality checks
• Other general duties in line with the responsibilities and scope of a Freight Controller.

Requirements

• A valid Grade 10/12 certificate
• 1-2 years’ experience will be an added advantage
• Computer literacy in Microsoft office
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans
• Willingness to work overtime and shifts
• Physically fit to be able to handle large and heavy freight
• Attention to detail, whilst be a reliable, accurate and dependable person
• Friendly disposition with Good English communication skills – understand, read and write
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to accept and execute instructions
• Willingness to listen and learn
• Police clearance certificate (not older than 3 months) – No criminal record
• Namibia Citizenship
