Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily reporting to the SHEQ Manager and HME Manager on request
• Report Non-Compliance and perform Incident/Accident Investigations, e.g. ICAM/RCA
• Facilitate the conduct of issue-based risk assessments and take appropriate action
• Prepare safety learning aids and instructional training materials
• Maintain site specific SHEQ policies and procedures
• Communicate internal and external SHEQ matters and provide SHEQ reports to SHEQ Manager
• Instill a culture of SHEQ awareness on site
• Perform and participate in workplace SHEQ Inspections
• Ensure compliance to site SHEQ requirements and other regulatory requirements
• Participate in SHEQ Committee meetings
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and facilitate training as per training matrix or any other request

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Valid Code 8 Drivers License
• Nebosh International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or Level 4 National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or NOSA SAMTRAC Certificate
• 4-5 years’ working experience in the Safety Management & Risk Assessment field within a Mining Environment
• Must have knowledge on HME/Plant management safety controls and protocols
• Presentation skills, present strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to perform Incident/Non-Compliance Investigations and Reporting
• Must have experience in ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 Standard Awareness and Implementation will be an added advantage
• Computer Literate; e.g. Extensive knowledge on Microsoft Excel, Power point & Word
