Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to assist in the management of the Human Resource Department of the Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for the execution of HR services in the areas of general HR administration, recruitment, compensation and benefits management. Provide broad support to the Human Resources Manager, particularly with the functions pertaining to planning, training, motivation, discipline, supervision and day to day management of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for General HR administration, including the management of employee records and database.
- Contractual administration and monitor probationary periods for new appointments.
- Cooperate with other departments and provide HR data support.
- Provide the required support in terms of FOA vacancy announcements.
- Screen CVs, conduct relevant employment and medical checks, recruitment and selection.
- Orientation and placement of new employees.
- Provide monthly payroll inputs to the Finance department for the processing of salaries and related benefits.
- Assist with the compilation of HR monthly reports.
- Secretarial services and official correspondences in respect of HR services.
- Assist with the preparation of departmental budget and control expenditure against the budget.
Requirements
- A 3-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or an appropriate administrative diploma with Personnel Management as major subject.
- Approximately three (3) years appropriate experience.
