Volunteering Internship – Social Media at the N/a’an ku sê Foundation
The N/a’an ku sê Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of the natural world, and the empowerment of marginalized communities in Namibia. Our mission is to conserve the landscapes, protect wildlife and improve the lives of the people, fostering a better future through collaboration and innovation. Our work is diverse, ranging from wildlife conservation efforts to community education and healthcare programs.
We are seeking a creative, digitally savvy, and passionate individual to join our team as a Social Media Intern. In this voluntary internship, you will play a vital role in bringing our stories to life, connecting people across the world to our mission through impactful content and online engagement. You will work closely with our marketing team, gaining hands-on experience in social media strategy, storytelling, digital trends within the non-profit space.
The internship is for a duration of 3 months and will have to be done on-site at the N/a’an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary. This internship is particularly suited to international applicants seeking a cross-cultural experience in a rural African context. There is no financial remuneration assigned to this role but plenty of tangible experience benefits.
Key Responsibilities:

Create engaging and visually appealing content (graphics, captions, videos, reels, etc.) for social media platforms.

Track and analyze social media performance metrics and trends.

Engage with our online community and respond to messages and comments.

Support the planning and scheduling of social media campaigns.

Ensure content aligns with N/a’an ku sê’s mission and voice.
The Ideal Candidate:

Strong interest in conservation, social justice, digital storytelling, and communication.

Excellent communication skills and creative flair.

Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok).

Self-driven, organized, and proactive.
