The FP du Toit Transport Group has since its formation in 1968, diversified from a solely long-haul operation to one which includes Jet.X Couriers (an express road and air courier service), Pro Parcel (a part-load and distribution operation), as well as Wesbank Transport (cross border and national transport). This is in line with our strategy to offer our clients a complete range of services to satisfy all their logistical requirements.

POSITION: Accounting Clerk
REPORTS TO: Senior Financial Accountant
DUTY STATION: Windhoek – Lafrenz

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain cash book and bank reconciliation.
• Maintain asset register and finance lease schedules.
• General ledger accounts reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain property company’s accounting records.
• Prepare VAT reconciliation and payment for property companies.
• Assist Senior Financial Accountant to prepare schedules for external auditors.
• Finalise insurance claims for approval by CFO.
• Assist Senior Financial Accountant with month-end procedures.
• Any other duties in line with the responsibilities of an Accounting Clerk.

THE SUITABLE APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

• Namibian Citizenship.
• A 3-Year tertiary education qualification coupled with 2-3 years applied experience OR Pursuing a 3-Year tertiary education qualification with 5 years applied experience.
• High level of conceptual, analytical and interpretive skills.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Able to work independently and be a team player.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Accuracy and accountability (capturing creditors invoices)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience and knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
