The Omaruru Municipality is seeking a suitably qualified Namibian citizen to join their team as a Technical Services Officer.

Grade: C5

Basic Salary: N$258,066.00 / annum

Allowances & Other Benefits:

(Housing Subsidy 40% / Housing Allowance 20% of Basic Salary;

Medical Aid 90%; Pension 21.7% &

Transport N$876.00/month)

Primary Purpose of the Position:

To support the strategic and operational planning of technical projects, systems, and services. The role involves coordinating technical planning activities, managing project timelines, supporting infrastructure development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and technical specifications.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills required:

• Technical Bachelor Degree or National Diploma preferably in Civil, coupled with 3 years’ experience in Municipal Engineering or Service Planning or Design & Construction, of which 1 year being at supervisory level.

• Proven experience in project management and technical planning.

• Registered or in the process to be registered with the Engineering Council of Namibian.

• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).

• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and safety codes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.

• Knowledge of Local Authority Act will be an added advantage.

• A valid Code B Driver’s License
