JUNIOR CHEF
We are looking for a JUNIOR CHEF to join our tribe!
This position will be responsible for kitchen efficiency at one of our properties in Windhoek.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the running of the kitchen.

Ensure all food preparation and cooking is performed according to company standards on a consistent basis.

Responsible for weekly menu planning, subsequent placing of orders and maintaining FIFO when stock arrives.
-
Ensure kitchen and storerooms are maintained in terms of health & safety standards.
-
Responsible for strict stock control in order to control food costs and minimize food wastage.
-
Responsible for stock take as required.
-
Responsible for inspecting equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
-
Coordinate with other kitchen employees.
Requirements:
-
Must be a Namibian citizen.
-
At least 2 years proven experience in a similar role in the kitchen.
-
Certificate in cooking would be advantageous.
-
Excellent spoken and written English.
-
Strong ethics and reliability.
-
Position requires long and flexible working hours.
