Department: Retail Banking Services (RBS)

Purpose of Role: To lead the development and execution of the strategy to drive growth, enhance customer experience, and ensure operational excellence in Retail Banking Services. This role will provide strong leadership and management across teams, fostering connection and collaboration to deliver on the Bank’s strategic vision and goals.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

Develop and implement the Bank’s and RBS strategies:

• Provide appropriate strategic direction and input to the Bank’s strategy.

• Develop and implement a RBS strategy that drives cine delivery on relevant business growth, profitability, and sustainability targets.

Growth and Commercial Management

• Ensure the delivery of the strategic objectives and targets of RBS.

• Actively drive growth and delivery of sales targets across RBS.

• Lead and oversee Branch administration and operations.

• And establish and implement policies and procedures that drive efficient operations and regulatory compliance.

Customer Value Proposition

• Develop, enhance and maintain the relevant Customer Value Propositions for RBS segments.

• Deliver and maintain customer service excellence across RBS.

Risk Management

• Maintain a sound risk and compliance environment and RBS divisional risk profile.

• Ensure consistent adherence to Bank and regulatory frameworks and procedures.

Leadership and People

• Encourage adequate cross-functional engagement and collaboration with other Divisions and Group entities.

• Develop the leadership team and adequate succession coverage for RBS.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field. A post-graduate qualification (Hons/Masters) in commerce or a related field or a professional qualification like a Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA is advantageous.

Experience:

15 years’ experience in business, with 7 years in a senior management position, and a demonstrated track record of managing large teams and delivering top and bottom line growth.
