QUALITY TEAM LEADER

Seaflower Group of Companies incorporating the two main operators, Seaflower Whitefish Corporation Limited & Seaflower Lobster Corporation based in Lüderitz, is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employer and requires the services of an innovative and experienced Team Leader at our Head Office in Lüderitz.

The incumbent, reports to the HACCP Coordinator and is responsible to maintain all quality related issues with regards to raw materials and final products in order to conform to the EU and NSI standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS WILL INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international Food Safety Regulations.

• Conduct routine audits and inspections to verify adherence to HACCP protocols.

• Oversee product labeling, FIFO (First in, First Out) audits, and traceability system efficiency.

• Perform facility and vessel inspections, including landing reports.

• Maintain accurate records of HACCP monitoring activities and corrective actions.

• Train employees on HACCP principles, food safety, and hygiene standards.

• Organize refresher training sessions and updates based on regulatory changes.

• Collaborate with quality teams to address non-compliance and quality issues.

• Ensure proper samples collection and analysis in line with industry standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Namibian citizenship.

• Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries & Aquatic Science or Food Science & Technology.

• Experience in Seafood processing or the fishing industry is preferred.

• HACCP trainings and knowledge in Food Safety Management Systems.

• Strong communication, training, and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in computer applications.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
