The Kombat Mine Project has the following operation-restart project opportunities, based in Kombat.

COMMUNITY AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST

• Reporting to Manager: Human Resources and be accountable for serving as the company’s brand ambassador and liaison between the mine, its host communities and other external
  stakeholders and to promote the company as a responsible corporate citizen and employer of choice in the Namibia’s mining industry.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Community Development, Human resources, communications, Public relations or related social science field.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in community liaison and government as well as stakeholder engagement in similar social performance role in the mining industry.

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with community members, local leadership, the media and other stakeholders at different levels.

• Culture awareness, knowledge of local community structures and language (Oshiwambo/Rukwangali).

• A positive attitude, ethical and ability to influence others positively.
